Event Description

The Open Works workshops are safe, supportive spaces for writers and performers to explore and develop with guidance of experienced teachers. Participants at all levels welcome. February 14: Performance with Erin Scott Participants will focus on key performance ideas including breath work, mic technique, voice work, and body work. March 14: Writing with Matt Rader Participants will discuss key writing ideas including editing, audience, voice, and imagery. Each participant will be invited to workshop one original piece with the group. April 11: Poetry & Performance with Erin Scott and Matt Rader This workshop will discuss how we bring our work from the page to the stage through ideas about performativity, expression and persona. Participants will be invited to workshop the performance of one original piece. Please register as space is limited: openworks@inspiredwordcafe.com
