Kelowna Arts Council is proud to partner with The Marmalade Cat Cafe to bring you Live Music every Friday! 5:00 pm til 7:00 pm. No Cover. This week we are pleased to feature Jacob Soucy. Jacob Soucy is a trumpet player and composer from Vancouver, BC. He writes instrumental songs aiming to connect with the people around him. His musical influences span from big band swing and bebop to hip hop and neo-soul. After moving to Vernon, BC in 2011, Soucy’s interest in performing flourished while playing trumpet and drums in WL Seaton Secondary’s band program. Now in between his first and second year of his Bachelor of Music degree at Humber College in Toronto, Jacob is back in BC for the summer. He can be seen playing live across the province with reggae/ska/calypso group Chipko Jones and with new Kelowna-based quintet, Warbler. There is no greater gift to give performers than to simply sit and listen. We encourage a listening environment and thank everyone in advance for helping create a beautiful experience for all.
