Flights are for youth aged 8 to 17 only, BUT all ages are welcome to enjoy our event. Our event hopes to include a number of community aviation related Exhibitors and static display aircraft, such as Medi-Vac, Search and Rescue, helicopters, charter aircraft, flight schools, Air Cadets, and much much more, based on availability! AFTERNOON REGISTRATION IS OPEN AT 7:00 am AND ONGOING THROUGH TO 10:30 am. If your Jr. Aviator is registered, we will do our utmost to get them up in the air. We cannot guarantee any set order of flight time, but wil endeavour to fly kids in order of check-in, but do not count on it! Come for the dayt and enjoy the event, and be patient. The event is open to all ages for the remainder of activities. (If you are close to the age of 17, and someone may think you are older then, Yes, bring your ID to confirm that you are inded eligible!) All other family and friends are invited to participate in the other numerous activities on Apron III on event day. We hope to have static display (fixed wing and rotary aircraft, fire rescue and more), exhibitor booths, activities for the under 8 crowd, concession (breakfast & Lunch available) and of course, lots of fun. What are my transport/parking options getting to the event? There is parking in the public lot across from the Kelowna Flying Club on Airport Way. As well as street parking avaialble close to Apron 3. What can't I bring to the event? Like any airport, small things can be of great danger to aircraft. limit things that might become lost or blown away in the wind and become F.O.D. (Foreign Object Debris). No Pets. No Smoking. No F.O.D. What Should I bring with me to the event? Your Completed Waiver / a lawn chair / cash for the vendors/ suncsreen and hat / and a smile! Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event? No. Your name will be on our Master Pre-Registration List. But, do bring your completed Waiver, (it will save time at registration) Can I fly with my friends? We do our best to accommodate requests, however, Jr. Aviators are assigned to Pilots at the time of registration. Number of passengers (3) and weight distribution is taken into consideration at the time of registration. If they arrive and register together there is a better chance of accomodating the request. How long will this take? Altough the actual flight may only be 20 to 30 minutes long, the entire process from registration to flight completion (and seeing all of the booths, activities and displays) may take up to three (3) hours. So please allow enough time to relax and enjoy the event. Months of planning have gone into this event and we hope you enjoy it! What Happens if it's Raining? Come on out anyway, the chief pilot will determine if it is safe to fly, may be only a few minutes before we resume. * Note that we may cancel a flight at anytime for safety reasons. 'SAFETY IS NO ACCIDENT' - and so safety will be our chief concern foe all arttensdees. Pleas ehelp us by obeying all requests by COPA CREW members , identified by FLOURESCENT NAME TAGS
