Event Description
In Part Six of the Lunch and Learn Series, learn about employee theft and dishonesty. Employee theft and dishonesty appears to be on the rise. While the gut reaction is often to simply terminate the employment of a dishonest employee, there may be broader legal implications that employers should be aware of prior to terminating an employee for cause for theft and dishonesty. There are a number of legal remedies available to employers for employees who steal to facilitate the recovery of stolen property and funds. Additionally, criminal charges may be a viable option for employers faced with employee theft. This 1.5 hour seminar will explore topics related to employee dishonesty and theft and provide insight into some of the legal remedies available to employers in handling employee theft that may assist in the recovery of corporate property and funds. The seminar is free and lunch is provided. Space is limited.
