The idea struck a chord with universities and colleges around the world and Long Night events have spread across Europe, the US, and Canada. The idea is to gather students (generally in the library) who have projects and assignments coming due, and to work together into the wee hours of the morning, offering faculty and staff support, along with hot and cold drinks, late night snacks, stress-busting activities and study advice. This struck a chord with us at Okanagan College, too. All of us have been students, and we remember those long, panicky nights spent scrambling to write papers. How much more comforting to do it in the company of others! ?
