The Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market returns to the Landmark District for the first spring market of 2025 on Saturday, April 5th, officially kicking off a milestone season marking three decades of supporting local growers, makers, and families across the Okanagan. As the market’s first permanent home in the city, the stability provides support for the city’s long legacy of shopping local.
"Supporting local business is how we take care of our neighbours and keep our communities strong," explains Frances Callaghan, Market Coordinator for the Kelowna Farmers’ and Crafters’ Market. "After years of moving between temporary spaces, it means everything to have a permanent home where we can deepen our roots and continue to provide a vibrant gathering place for the community."
With the rising focus on purchasing domestic goods and Canadian-made products, this year’s market directly connects 200+ rotating vendors, including farmers, crafters, bakers, and creators from across the region. Popular vendors such as Zelaney Farms, TABA Farms, Joe Rich Farms, and Kings Vegetarian will be returning, alongside many long-time vendors who have been participating in the market since the very beginning, such as Robert & Naomi Bothe, who own Firefly Farms. “Over the past three decades, the Kelowna Farmers & Crafters Market has grown from a handful of passionate vendors into a vibrant community hub,” says Callahan. “As we return for our 30th anniversary year, we celebrate not just our roots but the incredible journey that’s brought us here, and the exciting future ahead.”
