Event Description
The Downtown Kelowna Association (DKA) is pleased to announce the debut of a new summer event set to launch at the end of May. The Downtown Kelowna Night Market will be held in Kerry Park and in the 200 Block of Bernard Avenue on twelve Thursdays between May 30 and August 29, 2024. From 4:00pm to 9:00pm, the Night Market will comprise a mix of Downtown Kelowna businesses accompanied by artisans, crafters, local food producers, and community-based entertainment.
A key component of the evolving programming strategy for the Meet Me on Bernardprogram, the Night Market aims to invigorate Downtown Kelowna in the late afternoon and evening by providing a fun and inclusive environment while supporting Downtown Kelowna businesses.
Applications for the Downtown Kelowna Night Market are still being acceptedto round out the weekly event’s offerings. Artisans, crafters, and local food producers are invited to submit their applications through an online application form.
The DKA acknowledges that the Night Market will be operated on the traditional, ancestral, and unceded land of the syilx/Okanagan people who have resided here since time immemorial. Applications from syilx/Okanagan artisans, crafters, and food producers are encouraged.
The DKA is taking a thoughtful approach to vendor composition; as such, all applicants are subject to the same criteria for consideration. Prospective vendors should familiarize themselves with the criteria for eligibility before submitting their application. Applications for the Night Market will be accepted until the market is full.
This year’s Meet Me on Bernard program begins on Friday, May 17, in the 200 Block of Bernard Avenue from Abbott Street to Water Street, with the 300 Block from Water Street to Pandosy Street joining on Friday, June 28.
The Downtown Kelowna Night Market is produced in cooperation with Artisans Showcase. For more information or to apply, please visit downtownkelowna.com/night-market. More Information: Downtown Kelowna Association Mark Burley, Executive Director mark@downtownkelowna.com 250.862.3615
