“National Hospice Palliative Care Week is the ideal time to welcome our community to better understand the vital programs and services COHA provides,” says Ian Kunitski, COHA Director of Programs and Services. “COHA walks alongside people through some of life’s most challenging moments—be it through facing a life-limiting illness, planning for the future, or through grief and bereavement. By removing financial barriers to access our programs and services, COHA is committed to creating a community where no one has to die or grieve alone.”
National Hospice Palliative Care Week raises awareness and recognizes the dedicated individuals who provide comfort, dignity, and care at every stage of life. It’s also a time to learn how hospice palliative care supports not only the person with illness—but also their loved ones—and to understand COHA’s role in helping all involved through the grieving process.
