Event Description
About the Luncheon
The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), Interior BC Chapter is pleased to present the 6th annual National Philanthropy Day® event in Kelowna. Philanthropy is “the love of humankind,” and National Philanthropy Day® (NPD) is the day that thousands of people around the world come together to:
(1) put that word into action,
(2) recognize the change that word has brought to our communities and
(3) recognition of all of our wonderful donors and community members that have created an impact in our community.
The theme this year is, 'Harvest of Hope', which represents the abundant potential and positive impact that philanthropic efforts can bring to communities in need. It symbolizes the collective power of fundraising professionals and nonprofit organizations to sow seeds of change, nurture growth, and reap the rewards of transformation. The theme celebrates the idea that by working together, we can create a bountiful and sustainable future for those who rely on the support of compassionate individuals and organizations.
Registration and doors open at 11am, with the official program commencing around 11:30am. Attendees will enjoy a plated lunch, in addition to hearing from the very talented keynote speaker: Linda Edgecombe! Please bring your donors and colleagues so we can celebrate everyone and the giving that has occurred through the past year. We are excited to see you there!
Grand Prize Draw: All attendees will be entered to win an incredible grand prize draw. The winner will take home a two night stay at Vista Villa B&B, including a charcuterie board and a bottle of wine!
KEYNOTE SPEAKER - Linda Edgecombe
Linda Edgecombe is a change and leadership expert, Hall of Fame speaker, award-winning celebrity humorist, award-winning philanthropist, and bestselling author.
