Event Description

The 12th Annual OneWorld Multicultural Festival is dedicated to “Gramma” Grace Greyeyes
This year’s festival is dedicated to the memory of Penticton Indian Band Elder Grace Greyeyes, who was instrumental in fostering relationships that built bridges across cultures. She opened every OneWorld Multicultural Festival with a prayer and welcome, supporting SOICS events and learning sessions, and often borrowed the flags that line the festival entrance for cultural ceremonies.
SOICS is proud to recognize and honour the legacy of Elder Grace Greyeyes. Affectionately known as “Gramma” Grace, she was a tireless advocate for unity and understanding whose contributions continue to inspire us all. Her influence has profoundly shaped our commitment to fostering inclusive, welcoming communities while acknowledging the truths of Canada’s past. Grace remains ever-present in our thoughts and hearts—she is deeply missed but forever cherished.
Many activities and exhibits to enjoy.
