Two properties overlooking Okanagan Lake near the south end of Peachland are on sale for $11.9 million.

“This is a rare opportunity to grow a good yield of grapes, make wine, build a tasting room, add a small agri-tourism accommodation, or redevelop into a master planned community in an area where accommodation is in high demand,” the listing by Faith Wilson/Christies International Real Estate reads.

One parcel, at 6212 Gummow Rd., is 11.14 acres and has a small older house on it “suitable for workers or rental.” It also has a state of the art, nearly 3,000 square foot warehouse, for winemaking or storage purposes. The other parcel is 6.52 acres at 6266 Lipsett Ave. so together they total 17.7 acres.

“Lovingly curated by a master of his craft, the vines, mostly planted in 1997, are primarily sumptuous red varietals,” the listing reads. “The fruit from this vineyard has produced award winning Pinot Noir wines year after year.

“If winemaking is not a passion, a purchaser can develop this property into a vibrant new neighbourhood with possible options for hospitality lodging as well.”

The future land use designation for the land, which is not in the Agricultural Land Reserve, allows for up to 105 single-family homes or 175 duplex/cluster housing units.
