Gasoline can finally be purchased for under $2 per litre in Kamloops and the Okanagan again.

The cheapest gas in the region can be found in Vernon, where Supersave is selling regular fuel for $1.89.9, according to gasbuddy.com.

In Penticton, Kamloops, and Kelowna, numerous stations are selling regular fuel for $1.99.9, and in Kelowna it can be found slightly cheaper at Centex on Highway 33, which has it at $1.97.9

Gas stations in the region first passed the $2 mark in March following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. While gas prices in many locations in B.C. and across Canada dropped back down from highs, it's taken weeks for Thompson-Okanagan gas stations to follow suit.
