Fall in love with these autumn craft beers in Kamloops, Okanagan
If you're a fan of darker beers and stouts, fall is the best time to check out your local breweries. Some breweries have gotten creative by incorporating some classic fall flavours into their brews, with hints of sweetness, spice and everything nice.
So bundle up in your coziest sweater and hop over to these local breweries in Kamloops or the Okanagan for a tall glass of local autumn ale.
Kamloops
Red Collar Brewing
Skip the PSL and try the The Squash Gourdon, a warming allspice pumpkin beer from Red Collar Brewing. According to Tourism Kamloops, the pumpkins come directly from Thistle Farms in Kamloops. It's a farm to bottle brew.
Noble Pig Brewhouse
Celebrate the spooky season with a tall glass of the Heffalumps and Woozles from Noble Pig. It's a german style beer, light and dry with fruity aromas, hints of wheat banana and cloves.
Noble Pig has also just released their Papa G's ESB. It's an easy drinking dark beer, balanced between bitter and malt, great for colder weather and and darker days.
Bright Eye Brewing
Bright Eye Brewing is embracing the dark beer season with their new Raspberry Milk Stout and Strawberry Banana Milk Stout. These dark beers are sweetened with lactose and boast prominent fruit and vanilla tones. They're lower in alcohol than most dark beers, and not overly bitter.

Okanagan
Craft Beer Market— Kelowna
It's Oktoberfest at Craft Beer Market, and that means there's Parallel 49 Schadenfreude Pumpkin Ale on tap. Looking for something rich and sweet for that pre-Halloween sweet tooth? Try the Twin Sails Cookie Jar Oatmeal Fudge Stout.
Rustic Reel— Kelowna
Rustic Reel has released one fall beer so far, with more to come over the next few weeks. Their Red IPA is a bold and malty mid-range dark beer. It has a really hoppy flavour, dry and not overly sweet.
Vice and Virtue— Kelowna
The Haskap Berry Sour was just released last week, and pays homage to a sweet, tart berry pie. If you're not a fan of dry or dark beer, this new fruity brew is for you.
Marten Brewing— Vernon
Celebrate Oktoberfest with Marten Brewing's Oktoberfest beer. It's a medium bodied deep gold lager, with light hops and slight bitterness.
Neighbourhood Brewing— Penticton
Penticton's seven breweries have all partnered to create a new limited beer called the Penticton Seven Hazy Pale Ale. Each brewery is serving this juicy, hoppy and refreshing ale until Oct. 24, with part of the profits going to the B.C. Hospitality Foundation. You can find it at Bad Tattoo Brewing, The Barley Mill Brew Pub, Cannery Brewing, Slackwater Brewing,Tin Whistle Brewing and Highway 97 Brewing Co.
Bad Tattoo Brewing— Penticton
Bad Tattoo has several new fall beers on tap, including the Peanut Butter Chocolate Porter and the Don't Knock it Till You Try it Cranberry Wheat Ale.
Cannery Brewing— Penticton
It's the perfect time of year to return to this old classic. The Cannery's Naramata Nut Brown is a rich dark beer with a smooth feel. Some say it tastes like burnt sugar, nuts and dried fruits.
