After a few years with an out-of-town operator, The Peach concession stand in Penticton has a local one.

Ice cream and sweets shop Tickleberry’s is going to be operating the stand this summer as well as the Skaha Main concession stand.

Back in 2022, local operator Diana Stirling lost the contract to a company out of Calgary called Freshly Squeezed.

“We are excited to take over The Peach on Okanagan Lake!” Tickleberry’s wrote in a social media post.

When Freshly Squeezed took over the stand in 2022 the successful bid was for $13,125 a year which is 60 per cent higher than the other bids received by the City of Penticton.

The other concession stands in the city will have different operators.

Junction 3 Coffee House is going to run the stand at Sudbury Beach and Vallarta Fiesta Grill is going to run the Skaha East stand, according to a city media release.
