iNwine: Cheesemongers Perseval & Young to set up shop in the north end brewery district of Kelowna
Kelowna is finally getting their very own cheese shop. Another sign that we are seriously hitting our goal of creating a fully formed urban culture in downtown Kelowna, Perseval & Young Cheesemongers make it official. We got cheese, baby.
Desiree Young and husband Phillip Perseval were living in Ireland when they both fell madly in love with the world of cheesemaking. That spark of passion manifested into a business in 2018 when the two moved to the Okanagan and officially started a unique online cheese box subscription service. No surprise that locals jumped on the opportunity to have beautiful handpicked cheeses delivered to the door each month. But soon, there will be no need to wait.
The couple is thrilled to announce that they will be opening the doors of their cheese shop in early August. Located in Kelowna’s uber cool "brewery district" in the north end of the city and we can’t wait to visit. The shop will feature a range of international and local cheeses for sale and Desiree says there are plans for some fun cheese tasting events, wine pairing demos and more.
