Invitations open to stay at O’Rourke Family Estates new cozy cottage
O’Rourke Family Estates' delightful list of accommodations is expanding with a new modern cottage, featuring picturesque views of Okanagan Lake.
Renovations for the Cottage Inn The Vines, located in Lake Country in the heart of O’Rourke’s Chardonnay vineyard, were completed this past summer.
The new home features a cozy atmosphere with a modern fireplace and three bedrooms that can accommodate up to six people, making the inn the perfect fall and winter getaway for families and couples.
Each bedroom has its own en suite bathroom and guests have their choice of staying in a bedroom with a king bed, a queen bed or two twins.
Husband and wife duo Kathryn Gidluck and Carlos Melayes, part of O’Rourke’s concierge team, will ensure you’re well cared for.
“You have a cozy, quiet, quaint little house you can be comfortable in. You can enjoy some wine, read a book, you can’t really beat it,” Gidluck said.
She welcomes guests to curl up beside the fireplace and enjoy a charcuterie board and wine.
O’Rourke Peak Cellars recently won gold in the British Columbia Lieutenant Governor's Wine Awards for their popular summer hit, the 2020 Pinot Noir Rosé, a fresh and tart wine with notes of strawberry and rhubarb, Melayes said.
If you need a bit more room, O’Rourke also has a stunning log cabin that can accommodate up to 10 people with five bedrooms, which is perfect for large family gatherings and private chef dinners, Gidluck said.
