Summers in the Okanagan are all about food and fun. Here are three delicious events that you can still sign up for in July:

1.  Feel like cooking for a cause? Soup Sisters is one of the most beautiful charity organizations you can imagine and we happen to have two chapters in Kelowna. This charity organizes groups of people to come together for a fun night of chopping and stirring big pots of soup for those in need. One operates at Okanagan Street Food and makes soup for the women and children at the Kelowna Women’s Shelter. The other operates at Saj Common Kitchen where soup goes to the kids at the Kelowna Overnight Youth Shelter. There is a fee to purchase groceries etc. and the events have food, wine and are a super fun night of camaraderie guaranteed to have you leave will a full heart. Saj has room for the next event! http://www.soupsisters.org/bookings.php Check the schedule for all available soupmaking dates and go make soup!

2. How about a mushroom foraging adventure!? You will recognize our local ‘mushroom guy’ Scott Moran from the Kelowna Farmers and Crafters Market, he will take you on a unique and exciting field trip organized by Start Fresh Kitchen. After your adventure learning about the amazing bounty that our province has to offer, you get to go back to the Start Fresh Kitchen and cook! Monday July 29.
