All hail the mighty Caesar: First time competition highlighting drink hits Okanagan
There are endless ways to get creative with everyone’s favourite Canadian clamato juice cocktail and establishments in Kelowna will spend all of Caesar Week showing off their concoctions.
It’s not just a friendly competition – restaurants are competing for the title of best Caesar in Kelowna, and they’ve gotten creative by introducing limited edition caesars.
These Caesars aren’t just a splash of clamato and vodka with a stock of celery and some worcestershire sauce. Sammy J's Grill & Bar tops theirs with a little grilled cheese, Bin 4 Burger Lounge garnishes their Caesars with bacon-wrapped pepperoncini, and the Caesars at Tonics Pub & Grill have lemon pepper wings on top.
This will be the first Caesar Week in Kelowna from July 3 to 10. The event travels to different Canadian cities.
The winner in Winnipeg, where the tour most recently stopped, was the “Smoking’ Ceasar,” which was topped with a beef slider, pickles, shrimp, celery, olives, and a dry ice stick for smoke.
