A woman is dead after a collision on Westside Road in West Kelowna yesterday.

RCMP and emergency services personal responded to a collision involving a motorcycle and truck approximately 1 kilometre south of the Lake Okanagan Resort around 11:45 a.m. on Oct. 15.

The road was closed for several hours yesterday due to the crash.

The operator of the motorcycle, a 20-year-old woman, died of injuries sustained in the collision, according to the RCMP.

Although the scene has been cleared and the road has been reopened, the police investigation is continuing, said Sgt. Kevin Duggan, with the Kelowna RCMP, in a media release.
