Internationally acclaimed singer-songwriter Hawksley Workman will be in Salmon Arm this November and tickets go on sale Friday.

On April 12, tickets to see Hawksley Workman in Salmon Arm on Nov. 3 will be made available at the price of $37.50, according to a news release. The singer will be performing at the Song Sparrow Hall.

Workman's performance at the 31st Roots and Blues Music Festival last year was cancelled, along with the festival, due to wildfires, but he will be back to perform a show rooted in a catalogue of 17 solo records.

The artist is known for his unique way of blending genres together which has won him Juno awards and gold records along with international fame in the UK, France, Norway and Australia.

"Hawksley has a unique way of blending together folk, chart-toppers and cabaret pop in songs that we can all relate to —t he weather, love, heartbreak and tales of end-times,” Kevin Tobin, artistic director, Salmon Arm Folk Music Society, said in the release.

Workman's 1999 debut album For Him and The Girls was an immediate success and has led to more chart-topping music all the way to his recent 2020 release Less Rage More Tears.

Anyone interested in seeing him as he passes through Salmon Arm on Sunday, Nov. 3 should be ready to buy tickets this Friday, April 12 on the Roots and Blues website here or by calling 250-833-4096.
