SUMMERLAND — Summerland RCMP received an anonymous call Wednesday morning notifying them there was dangerously placed glass on a slide at a local park.
Sgt. Stephane Lacroix said when police showed up at the scene, staff from the city’s public works department were already there cleaning up the mess, and checking for any bits of glass left in the sand.
Other playgrounds in the city were also checked for glass but nothing was found.
Lacroix said it is not common for glass to be placed so carefully, with what appears to be an intention to harm.
RCMP are investigating the case but do not have any leads on a suspect.
