KAMLOOPS - With fall just around the corner, there is plenty to do in Kamloops this weekend.
Tonight, Sept. 21, you can catch the Kamloops Blazers hosting the Kelowna Rockets in the team's home opener at the Sandman Centre. The first 4,000 fans in the building will receive a free T-shirt and noisemaker, and despite the rain there will be a party on the plaza starting at 5:30 p.m., including a barbecue with free hot dogs, face painting and music.

Celebrate the first day of Oktoberfest with a barbecue at Red Collar Brewing tomorrow, Sept. 22, starting at noon. Bavarian-inspired food specials are on the menu, along with plenty of beer and local bands will perform. For more information on the event, go here.
Rock and roll tribute artist Luisa Marshall will be performing at the Sagebrush Theatre this weekend for the first time in a decade. Marshall has been on Oprah and Ellen, paving the way to her career with her uncanny resemblance to Tina Turner.
Marshall, as Tina Turner, will pay tribute to some of her favourite female artists including Shania Twain, Lady Gaga, Amy Winehouse and Etta James. For more information on the event, go here.
The Kamloops Kidney Walk kicks off in McDonald Park on Sunday morning, Sept. 23. Thousands of volunteers and participants gather at kidney walks throughout the province to raise awareness and funds for those affected by kidney disease. Registration beings at 10 a.m. and the walk starts at 11 a.m. For full details, go here.
The rescheduled Overlander's Day will begin at 10 a.m. on Sunday in a new location. This year's event was cancelled earlier due to smoky skies in the city, but has now been moved to the Brock Park beside the Brock Pool from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. For more information, go here.
