West Kelowna professional firefighters launch charitable fundraising calendar

West Kelowna Professional Firefighters will be selling calendars once again this year to raise funds for local charities.  The official release event will be at London Drugs on Saturday, November 12, 2016 from 12:30 – 4:30pm coinciding with the store’s Cosmetics Ladies Gala.

The West Kelowna Professional Firefighters last released a calendar in 2015.  That fundraising campaign was extremely successful raising over half of the $25,000 donated to the BC Professional Firefighter Burn Unit Building in 2015. “Being able to make this donation has helped open the doors of The Burn Center which is used by the burn survivors and their families. West Kelowna’s name is proudly displayed as one of the major contributors to this marvelous, state of the art facility” says local BC Professional Firefighters Burn fund representative Mike Kay.

The proceeds from the 2017 calendar will go to the Okanagan Boys and Girls Club, West Kelowna Foodbank, The BC Firefighters Burn Fund, Muscular Dystrophy and other local charities.

As with 2015, local businesses have stepped up and sponsored our calendar once again allowing 100% of the sales proceeds to go to local charities. “The support of local businesses and also the unending generosity of the citizens of the West Kelowna area allows us to continue to provide much needed assistance to local charities” says Kay.

Calendars are only $10.00 and can be purchased at:

  • Station 31, 3651 Old Okanagan Highway,
  • Station 32, 2708 Olalla Road, and
  • G&H Shop & Save, 891 Anders Road
