WEST KELOWNA – A West Kelowna man wanted on Canada-wide warrants has been arrested in relation to robberies at a string of Glenrosa homes.

Cpl. Jesse O’Donaghey says officers were called to a home in the 2800 block of Scharf Road shortly before 9:30 a.m. today, Feb. 19.

“The suspect, who fled the scene prior to police arrival, is believed to have continued to commit additional break-ins in the area,” O’Donaghey says in a media release.

He says a call from the public led police to a man they believe is connected.

“When confronted the suspect fled from police on foot. After a long track through difficult terrain, he was taken into police custody by general duty officers with the support of Kelowna RCMP Police Dog Services,” O’Donaghey says.

The 31-year-old West Kelowna man is in police custody.

Anyone with any additional information is asked to contact the West Kelowna RCMP at 250-768-2880.
