OKANAGAN - The cooler, wetter weather is expected to continue through the beginning of this week.

Environment Canada is calling for highs of 19 Celsius to 20 C throughout the valley today, June 13, quite a bit below the seasonal normal of 25 C. Tuesday and Wednesday are expected to be similar, with highs of 18 C to 19 C in the forecast, but temperatures should then warm up to above the 20 C mark for the rest of the week.

Overnight lows are expected to remain cooler than the seasonal normal of 10 C this week as well, with temperatures dipping as low as 5 C, Tuesday night.

Along with the cooler weather will be a mix of sun and cloud today through Wednesday, as well as at least a chance of showers today through Wednesday. The weather office is calling for 10 millimetres of rain to fall in localized areas today along with a risk of afternoon or evening thunderstorms today and tomorrow. Sunny skies are expected Thursday and Friday.
