You don’t need to be part of a large gathering to enjoy the classic taste and smell of a traditional turkey supper in Kamloops and the Okanagan.

To help everyone feel grateful and bountiful this weekend, we reached out to readers to find the best places for some turkey and all the fixings.

For some fresh festive food in Kamloops, Scott’s Inn and RestaurantKirstens Hideout Café, and Papa G's Cafe and Diner were recommended from readers for a special long weekend supper.

In Vernon, Rosalinda's and Bourbon Street Bar and Grill were both suggested as a favourite place for fresh food, and Butcher Boys Grocery Store has 200 pre-made turkey dinners with generous servings.

For anyone on the westside of Okanagan Lake, there’s a food truck worth checking out across the road from North Westside Fire Rescue.

In Kelowna, dinners-to-go can be purchased from Sunshine Market, and similarly, heat-and-serve dinners for two are available through White Spot.

And down in Penticton, anybody who's not comfortable with eating a real turkey can find an alternative at Angry Vegan Juice Bar & Vegan Food.
