Warmer, cloudy weather expected in Kamloops this weekend

KAMLOOPS - The first weekend of the spring will be a cloudy one, but with appropriate seasonal temperatures.

Environment Canada is forecasting a warming trend over the next few days, with today, March 23, the coolest with a high temperature of 11 Celsius. Expect a mix of sun and cloud this morning, but it’ll become overcast in the afternoon. Overnight, the mercury will drop to 4 C under cloudy skies.

Tomorrow those clouds might have a bit of precipitation, with a 30 per cent chance of showers. A high of 12 C is expected.

On Saturday, the skies will be grey, but it should be an otherwise pleasant day with a high of 12 C. The cloud cover will break up a bit overnight and the temperature will drop significantly to -2 C.

The temperature will bounce back on Sunday with a high of 13 C with a mix of sun and cloud. Expect cloudy periods and a low of 3 C overnight.

Next week is looking warmer too. Highs are estimated to be in the low teens with overnight temperatures around 5 C.

These temperatures, though mild in comparison to the beginning of this month, are fairly typical for this time of the year. Normal temperatures in Kamloops in late March are highs of about 13 C and lows around 0 C.
