Kamloops Arts Council
Art in the Park Volunteers - The Kamloops Arts Council is looking for outgoing, energetic, and cheerful volunteers to help prepare for Art in the Park from June 24 to the 30, and the day of the event at Riverside Park on the 1st of July. Many different positions: Setup/Takedown, Fundraisers, and Ask Me/Greeters. 14+ to volunteer and family volunteering friendly. 250-372-7323.

Kamloops Dragon Boat Club
Dragon Boat Festival Volunteers - The Kamloops Dragon Boat Festival is looking for volunteers to help out with this year's festival on Aug. 8! Positions include: Boat Holders, Registration/Info Table, and Security. 15+ to volunteer. 250-377-5813.

Western Canada Theatre
VW Turtle River Race Ticket Seller - Volunteers are needed to help Western Canada Theatre raise funds by selling raffle tickets for our 14th Annual VW Turtle River Race. Responsibilities include tracking the number of tickets sold during shifts, handling monies, documenting sales, and reporting to the fundraising coordinator. Special Events Coordinators - The volunteers will coordinate special events utilizing the Event Outline and under the direction of the TNC Executive Assistant. This volunteer opportunity will develop and utilize your Public Relations, Business Contacts, Social Media, Volunteer Training, Orientation and Team building skills. Habitat for Humanity Kamloops
Special Event Coordinators - Are you in need of event planning experience, or just enjoy planning events? We are looking for people to help us organize, plan, and hold our Key Ceremony, and Groundbreaking Ceremony for our Habitat for Humanity Kamloops 2014 - 2015 Builds. 18+ to volunteer. YMCA/YWCA
YMCA Camp Deka Group Leaders - Group Leaders will provide opportunities and experiences for campers which promote growth and development in spirit, mind, and body through the embodiment of our core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility). Group Leaders will provide leadership and role modelling to campers ages 8-16. They will assist with planning and delivering programming and facilitating skills development. The ideal staff member is a flexible team player who embodies the YMCA values and has a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre
Recreational Volunteers - Brocklehurst Gemstone Care Centre is looking for volunteers to help with  many different programs including: games (bingo, Jeopardy, board games, crib, and other card games), scrapbooking, music nights, entertainers, 1-to-1 visits, X-BOX, manicures, church services, bocce ball, gardening programs, walking/exercise programs, and intergeneration programs. 16+ to volunteer & family volunteering friendly. 778-470-2596 Ext: 109.

The Gleaning Abundance Project
Harvest Volunteers - The Gleaning Abundance Project are looking for individual & group volunteers to help harvest excess fruit from residential trees. The volunteers will share in the harvest with the other shares going to the homeowners and various non-profits. 13+ to volunteer, and family volunteering friendly. Harvest Season is June to November, 7 Days a week, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 250-851-6111.

Interior Community Services
Meals On Wheels Drivers - We're looking for volunteers to pick up meals at the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) and deliver them to clients' homes (Southshore and Northshore) between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Tues. & Thurs. The drivers brighten the day for many people in our community that are home bound by showing concern, checking in, and having a friendly short chat. The volunteers will use their own vehicles and gas. A tax receipt will be issued at the end of the year for mileage driven. 18+ to volunteer. 250-554-3134 .

Better With Technology - Volunteer Tutors - This program matches seniors to a volunteer tutor who can support their basic technology related questions and needs. 18+ to volunteer. 250-828-1037 or 250-828-0600 .

Elizabeth Fry Society
Resource Development Committee Member - The volunteers will work with the Executive Director and the Fund Developer to develop and implement the Society’s fund development plans. This will include assisting in the planning of the 3rd Annual Hearts for Homes Gala in November. All the members will need to attend the regularly scheduled meetings once a month. Having fundraising & event planning experience, high energy, and passion for the Society’s mission are assets. 19+ to volunteer,  250-374-2119 Ext: 209 .

The Gleaning Abundance Project
Harvest Leaders - The Gleaning Abundance Project are looking for Harvest Leaders to help ensure the success of each and every pick. They make sure all volunteers know how to pick and sort the fruit and use a ladder safely. They weigh the harvest, and coordinate the split & delivery. Our harvest leaders are personable, responsible and reliable people. 18+ to volunteer. Harvest Season is June to November, 7 Days a week, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. 250-851-6111.

Special Olympics - Kamloops
Swim Club Helpers -  The volunteers will help mentally challenged individuals, some who have competed nationally. Time & Location:  Tuesdays from 6:15pm to 7:30pm at the YMCA/YWCA 400 Battle Street.  There will be 4 athletes per coach, and the volunteers do not have to be in the water, but it would be appreciated. 16+ to volunteer. 250-573-1206 or 250-879-0589.

Adaptive Sports at Sun Peaks
Bookkeeping System Support Volunteer - We're looking for a volunteer to help set up the software for a bookkeeping system that our Treasurer can maintain once it is setup. The volunteers must have experience setting up and maintaining bookkeeping systems.  19+ to volunteer. 250-572-0616.
