Canadian Cancer Society
Daffodil Month Door-to-Door Canvassers - Canvassers have a great passion for the fight for life, and are able to commit to going door to door 1-3 times during the month of April, for an hour or two each time to ask for donations and raise awareness about the Canadian Cancer Society. 16+ to volunteer, and family volunteering friendly. 250-374-9188 or 1-800-403-8222.

Western Canada Theatre
VW Turtle River Race Ticket Seller - Volunteers are needed to help Western Canada Theatre raise funds by selling raffle tickets for our 14th Annual VW Turtle River Race. Responsibilities include tracking the number of tickets sold during shifts, handling monies, documenting sales, and reporting to the fundraising coordinator. Volunteers should have good communication and numeracy skills. 19+ to volunteer. 250-372-3216 Ext: 36.

Habitat for Humanity Kamloops
Special Event Coordinators - Are you in need of event planning experience, or just enjoy planning events? We are looking for people to help us organize, plan, and hold our Key Ceremony, and Groundbreaking Ceremony for our Habitat for Humanity Kamloops 2014 - 2015 Builds. 18+ to volunteer. Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation
CIBC Run for the Cure Organizing Committee - Be part of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure organizing committee and a dynamic team raising funds towards breast cancer research in your local community from Mar. to Nov. 2015 (Event takes place on Sun. Special Events Coordinators - The volunteers will coordinate special events utilizing the Event Outline and under the direction of the TNC Executive Assistant. YMCA/YWCA
YMCA Camp Deka Group Leaders - Group Leaders will provide opportunities and experiences for campers which promote growth and development in spirit, mind, and body through the embodiment of our core values (Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility). Group Leaders will provide leadership and role modelling to campers ages 8-16. They will assist with planning and delivering programming and facilitating skills development. The ideal staff member is a flexible team player who embodies the YMCA values and has a positive, enthusiastic attitude. Interior Community Services
Meals On Wheels Drivers - We're looking for volunteers to pick up meals at the Royal Inland Hospital (RIH) and deliver them to clients' homes (Southshore and Northshore) between 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Tues. & Thurs. The drivers brighten the day for many people in our community that are home bound by showing concern, checking in, and having a friendly short chat. The volunteers will use their own vehicles and gas. A tax receipt will be issued at the end of the year for mileage driven. 18+ to volunteer. 250-554-3134.

Optimist Club of Kamloops
Board of Directors and Club Members - The Optimist Club helps fund youth (including disabled, sick, underprivileged, or at risk youth) to help them to develop to their full potential. We are now forming our Executive Council Board Members and Regular Club Members. Positions include: Two Vice-Presidents, Secretary, Treasurer, Project and Event Coordinators, Fundraisers, Directors for the Board, and regular members-at-large. Previous board experience is an asset but not necessary. Professionally employed individuals or TRU students are preferred. 20+ to volunteer. 250-572-4653.

Volunteer Driver - Under the direction of the Admin Office, Board Director, or Event Coordinator, and in the Volunteer's vehicle, drives dignitaries, performers, and volunteers to and from AIMCanada Events. Elizabeth Fry Society
Volunteer Coordinator - The volunteers will review volunteer applications and reply to incoming emails regarding position details. Additional duties are to recruit volunteers and arrange for interviews with the applicants and program coordinators. Community Office Assistants – The volunteers are responsible for answering the telephone and walk-in inquiries by providing appropriate information and referrals, receiving and processing donations, handling incoming and outgoing mail, distributing promotional materials, assisting with administrative support for projects, and special events. 19+ to volunteer. 250-374-9188 or 1-800-403-8222.

Volunteer Office Maintenance - Under the direction of the Admin Office or Board Director, repairs, cleans, and maintains building and grounds of AIMCanada Office. Alzheimer Society of B.C.
Support Group Facilitators (Chase, Ashcroft, and Merritt) - Are you interested in making a real and profound difference in the lives of people caring for a family member with Alzheimer's disease or a related dementia? The support group facilitators organize caregiver meetings, communicating with the Alzheimer Society of B.C. staff, maintain group attendance records and use Alzheimer Society materials to provide information to the groups. The objective of our groups is to strengthen the coping abilities of caregivers and reduce the impact of dementia on the community. *Please note that we're looking for facilitators in Chase, Ashcroft, and Merritt at this time.
