Vernon road construction update

Pleasant Valley Road reconstruction

During the week of June 1, 20 Street will be closed at Pleasant Valley Road for paving at the intersection. Traffic control will be in effect and detour routes posted. Starting June 8, construction on Pleasant Valley Road will move into the second phase of work and will be closed to through traffic from 36 Avenue to 39 Avenue. The road closure is necessary to replace the road, storm and sanitary sewer piping. Traffic control will be in effect for the duration of the project and detour routes posted in advance of the road closure. Road update: 27 Avenue & 34A to 35 Street

Beginning the week of June 8 until July 20, City of Vernon crews will be working on 27 Avenue between 35 Street and 34 A Street to rehabilitate storm mains, sanitary mains, curbs and gutters, and sidewalks as well as repaving along 27 Avenue. During construction, 27 Avenue will be closed, but access to homes and businesses will be possible.
