Vernon RCMP looking for man who dumped unconscious woman

Vernon RCMP are searching for a man in an SUV who pulled an unconscious woman from his vehicle and left her in a parking lot.

According to a Vernon North Okanagan RCMP media release, the woman appeared to be suffering from an apparent drug overdose.

Police say the incident happened at around 10 p.m. Sunday, July 9, and witnesses say a man in a full-size grey or silver SUV drove into the parking lot in the 2800 block of 34 Street, pulled the woman out of the vehicle, and then drove away.

A bystander gave the woman first aid and she was then taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police describe the driver as a larger man with grey hair.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the Vernon North Okanagan RCMP at 250-545-7171 and quote file number 2023-11749.
