Venture Kamloops continues to win marketing awards for its website redevelopment.

KAMLOOPS - Venture Kamloops is not only top in the province when it comes to marketing, a recent award shows the economic development group is also top in the country.
As the economic development arm for the city Venture Kamloops was recognized as a leader in the web-based marketing and website category with the Marketing Canada Award at the recent Economic Development Association of Canada’s annual awards.
The organization submitted its website redevelopment and report builder, the same submission that won a provincial award this summer from the B.C. Economic Development Association. The site was launched in November 2013.
“The Marketing Canada Awards competition is an opportunity to showcase what our organizations are doing locally and to exchange ideas on a national scale,” Jim Anderson of Venture Kamloops says. “We were proud to be recognized on a provincial level, so to win nationally is exceptional.”
The board of directors points to having a strong online presence as a key to attracting investors and President Leslie Brochu notes online is usually the first point of contact.
