SALMON ARM - Salmon Arm RCMP recovered two stolen vehicles along with stolen property earlier this week.

Salmon Arm RCMP spokesperson Sgt. Scott West said in a press release issued Feb. 14, the RCMP received a call of a stolen 2018 GMC pickup from the Silver Creek area. The theft also involved a black car.

Police used “On Star” location assistance to find the vehicle in Sorrento, where it was disabled and boxed in with police vehicles, apprehending the driver of the black car when it pulled in next to the stolen truck.

The truck and a stolen 2003 Ford Focus, stolen from the Enderby area, were returned to their owners following the incident.

The woman driving the Focus was also found to have in her possession winter clothes, a snowboard and boots which had also been reported stolen.

The personal items were taken from a vehicle in the Silver Creek area.

A 32 year old man and a 34 year old woman, both from Kelowna, are in custody pending a bail hearing expected to take place today, Feb. 14.

Both face possession of stolen property charges.
