Vandals damage numerous Penticton bus shelters

Penticton RCMP are investigating a rash of vandalism directed at bus shelters throughout the city.

Sometime between Jan. 17 and 18, the glass partitions were shattered on ten bus shelters including one on Main Street right across from the detachment, according to an RCMP media release.

The following locations were damaged:

  • Atkinson Street north of Warren Avenue
  • Government Street at South Carmi
  • Government Street at IGA
  • 2905 South Main Street
  • 809 Main Street
  • 1147 Main Street (across from the RCMP detachment)
  • 1413 Atkinson Street
  • 3502 Skaha Lake Road
  • 3325 Skaha Lake Road (near the Best Western)
  • 110 Skaha Place

RCMP are reaching out to residents who frequent any of these locations who may have witnessed the vandalism or may have video surveillance.

If you witnessed incident, or have any information, you’re asked to call the Penticton RCMP at 250-492-4300. Or remain completely anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
