Police probe woman's death in South Carolina; child safe

IVA, S.C. - Authorities say a woman has been found dead in a pool of blood at her South Carolina home with her 2-year-old daughter safe.

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore told local media the body of 24-year-old Tabatha Nicole Duncan was found in the community of Iva on Monday afternoon. Shore says the father of Duncan's boyfriend went to check on her and had to break into the house.

Shore says Duncan lived with her boyfriend, whose name has not been released. The coroner says the boyfriend told investigators he went to work around 6:30 a.m. Monday and did not see Duncan before he left home.

Authorities haven't released further details and no arrests have been made.

Shore says the 2-year-old girl is being cared for by family members.
