PASADENA, Calif. - Walton Goggins says he relied on the memory of Elmore Leonard to help him through a tough day on the set of the FX crime drama "Justified."

Goggins, who plays Boyd Crowder, described a chair left empty on the set after the author died in August. "Justified" has its roots in Leonard's fiction.

Goggins says that when he struggled with one scene, he turned to the source for help, sitting in the chair meant for Leonard to find comfort.

"Justified" stars Timothy Olyphant as Deputy U.S. Marshal Raylan Givens and is airing its fifth season.

Its producers and FX told the Television Critics Association that show will end after season six.
