MERIDIAN, Idaho - The Latest on a home invasion and house fire near the southwestern Idaho city of Meridian (all times local):

Authorities say two more people, including a suspect, have died after a prowler hid inside an Idaho home that burned to the ground a few minutes later.
Ada County Sheriff Stephen Bartlett says two residents of the home died from the fire — an elderly woman who wasn't able to escape the flames and another adult who died Thursday afternoon at a burn treatment centre in Salt Lake City. The body of the suspect was also found inside the burned home. A third adult who lived in the home escaped serious injury.
Residents of the home called 911 late Wednesday night to report a prowler. Bartlett said deputies arrived as the armed prowler was making his way into the home, and two deputies shot at the man.
The man retreated inside the home, which erupted into flames a short time later.

Authorities in southwestern Idaho say police opened fire on a suspected home invader who went back into a house that caught fire and burned down with one resident and the invader possibly still inside.
The Ada County Sheriff's Office says Thursday morning that what's left of the home is too hot to search for bodies.
The sheriff's office says a deputy and a Kuna police officer responded late Wednesday to a report of a home invasion and shot at a man exiting the home who refused commands to drop a gun.
Police say they helped two people escape the burning house, but a woman did not get out.
Police say the whereabouts of the armed man is unknown, and the surviving residents say they didn't know him.
