LOS ANGELES, Calif. - "Octomom" Nadya Suleman is heading to court in Los Angeles to face charges of failing to report $30,000 she earned while attempting to collect welfare.
Authorities say Suleman failed to tell Los Angeles County authorities she was being paid for personal appearances and movie residuals last year when she applied for public assistance.
If convicted, the 38-year-old single mother of 14 could be sentenced to nearly six years in prison.
Suleman became famous in 2009 when she gave birth to eight children. Like all her kids, they were conceived by in vitro fertilization.
Since their birth, she has struggled to support her family.
Among other things, she's made a porn video and signed autographs at last year's Adult Entertainment Expo in Las Vegas.
