Police: Man fatally shot motorcyclist then woman at home

Original Publication Date September 15, 2017 - 10:01 AM

BOSTON - A Boston man was charged Friday with fatally shooting a motorcyclist riding on a city highway and then just hours later killing a woman in a home.

Lance Holloman, 30, was charged with two counts of murder as well as other offences in connection with the fatal shootings Sunday that left a third victim injured.

Police said Holloman shot Scott Stevens Jr., 32, of Taunton, and his 54-year-old father as they rode motorcycles on Interstate 93 around 5 p.m. Sunday. Stevens died at the hospital Tuesday. His father, whom police did not identify, is expected to survive.

The body of Michaela Gingras, 24, of Manchester, New Hampshire, was found shot to death in Holloman's home in Boston around 10:30 p.m. Sunday.

Holloman was apprehended early Monday morning by police in Franklin, about 25 miles southwest of Boston, on three outstanding warrants following a car crash. One warrant charged him with unlawful possession of a firearm for allegedly telling another person to throw a loaded handgun from a vehicle while fleeing a traffic stop.

Holloman was being held on $150,000 bail on those warrants. It could not immediately be determined if he had a lawyer.

Motives for the shootings have not been disclosed.

Police previously said Holloman did not know the motorcyclists, and it was unclear if the shooting was a case of road rage.

Police did not disclose the relationship between Holloman and Gingras.
