VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) _ Endeavour Silver Corp. (EXK) on Tuesday reported first-quarter net income of $12.2 million, after reporting a loss in the same period a year earlier.
The Vancouver, British Columbia-based company said it had profit of 7 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for asset impairment gains, came to 3 cents per share.
The results missed Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of five analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for earnings of 2 cents per share.
The silver mining company posted revenue of $34.5 million in the period.
Endeavour Silver shares have climbed 19% since the beginning of the year. The stock has more than quadrupled in the last 12 months.
