A former Ohio college student accused of giving birth to a baby girl in her sorority house bathroom, putting her in a trash bag and leaving it outside has been found guilty of aggravated murder.
A jury in Zanesville issued a quick verdict Friday in the trial of 21-year-old Emile (EM'-uh-lee) Weaver, a former student at Muskingum University.
Authorities say the infant died from asphyxiation.
Weaver testified she thought the baby was already dead when she put her in the bag.
Weaver also was convicted of abuse of a corpse and tampering with evidence.

An Ohio jury has begun deliberating in the trial of a former college student accused of killing her newborn baby.
The jury in Zanesville began deliberating Friday after more than two days of testimony in the trial of former Muskingum University student Emile (EM'-uh-lee) Weaver.
The 21-year-old Weaver is facing aggravated murder and other charges. She is accused of giving birth to the baby girl in her sorority house bathroom, putting her in a trash bag and leaving it outside the residence in April 2015.
Authorities say the infant died from asphyxiation.
Weaver testified she thought the baby was already dead when she put her in the bag.
If Weaver is convicted of aggravated murder she could face life in prison.

A former Ohio college student accused of murder for giving birth to her baby in a sorority house bathroom and disposing of it has testified that she was denial about her pregnancy.
Emile (EM'-uh-lee) Weaver, who initially told investigators that she didn't know she was pregnant, testified Friday in her aggravated murder trial in Zanesville. She told jurors she denied being pregnant when asked by members of her Delta Gamma Theta sorority at Muskingum University — and continued to deny it herself.
The 21-year-old Weaver is accused of putting the infant girl in a trash bag and leaving her outside the sorority house last April 22. The child died from asphyxiation.
Weaver testified that she thought the baby was dead when she put it in the trash bag.
