60 neglected cats removed from home now up for adoption

WEST CHESTER, Pa. - Sixty neglected cats removed from a Pennsylvania home last week are looking for new places to stay.

The West Chester Daily Local News said Wednesday most of the cats were of the long-haired Persian breed and had significant matting problems.

The cats were found when police were called to the West Chester home for a medical emergency.

Police say the owner has serious health problems and won't be charged.

A spokeswoman for the Brandywine Valley Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says the cats were caged inside and outside the house and waste was seen throughout the home.

The cats are up for adoption.
