New 'Bourne' lands at No. 1 with $38.1M debut; 'Campaign' takes second with $26.6M

LOS ANGELES, Calif. - "The Bourne Legacy" has unleashed a new box-office hero.

The film, with Jeremy Renner taking over from Matt Damon in the reborn franchise, opened as the No. 1 weekend draw with $38.1 million.

The top 20 movies at U.S. and Canadian theatres Friday through Sunday, followed by distribution studio, gross, number of theatre locations, average receipts per location, total gross and number of weeks in release, as compiled Monday by Hollywood.com are:
