The boat that collided with the Kiwanis Pier has been removed and is now sitting on a barge.

PENTICTON - A 28-foot boat collided with the Kiwanis Walking Pier late Tuesday night.
The craft sits on top of the pier Wednesday morning. The owner was seen pumping out fuel.
There were several people sitting on the pier at time of event. Penticton resident Winona Paul, 21 was on the pier. Paul watched the boat approach at high speed.
The vessel collided with the pier. Paul said she and her friends were only a few feet away. No one was hurt.
Paul explained the engine was still running. Her group walked around the craft, left the pier and sat down.
Penticton resident Rene is boats owner a says he was going about 10 to 20 kph when he struck pier. He says the pier was hard to see.
City officials are on the scene.
