Two Okanagan homes up for grabs in 2023 Millionaire Lottery

Two multi-million dollar homes in the Central Okanagan are up for grabs in the this year's Millionaire Lottery which is raising money for the VGH and UBC Hospital Foundation.

The grand prize winner will be able to pick from one of 10 prize packages which include homes from nine different areas of the province including West Kelowna and Lake Country, according to a foundation media release issued today, Oct. 17. The home packages are valued between $2.9 and $3.1 million.

The funds raised by the lottery will support the foundation in funding innovative research, specialized adult care, and the purchase of critical medical equipment for the Vancouver General Hospital, UBC Hospital, GF Strong Rehabilitation Centre, Vancouver Community Health Services and Vancouver Health Research Institute.

The West Kelowna and Lake Country homes are both worth $2.9 million.

Tickets are on sale until Jan. 11, 2024, or until they are sold out.

The tickets are two for $100, five for $175, 10 for $300 and 25 for $600. To encourage early purchases, there will be Early Bird draws, one of which will be worth over $200,000. Some prizes will include homes, a car and a private jet experience, the rest will be cash prizes. In total, well over $3.5 million worth of prizes will be awarded in this year’s Millionaire Lottery.

Since 1996, the Millionaire Lottery has raised over $85 million for the foundation.
