Two injured in personal watercraft collision on South Thompson River

KAMLOOPS - Two people have been transported to the hospital after a crash involving personal watercraft on the South Thompson River in Kamloops.

RCMP say the two watercraft collided near the 700 Block of Shuswap Road in east Kamloops at around 3:15 p.m. today, May 17.

One of the riders drifted downstream before being found by rescue crews while the other was located right away, according to an RCMP media release.

Both sustained non life-threatening injuries, police say.
