A westbound tractor-trailer and an eastbound car collided between Revelstoke and Craigellachie around 1 p.m. Saturday, according a Revelstoke Times Review report. The people in the car were killed.

The highway was closed for over nine hours as a RCMP traffic analyst investigated, and the wreckage was cleared from the road. The route reopened at about 9:30 p.m.

People heading east were kept in Sicamous, while those trying to drive west were kept in Revelstoke.
