Two boats went up in flames at a Kamloops business early yesterday morning and RCMP are calling the fire suspicious.
Firefighters were already on the scene of the fire at a business in the 1900 block of East Trans-Canada Highway in the Valleyview area of Kamloops when RCMP officers arrived at around 4:40 a.m. Monday, Oct. 2, according to an RCMP media release.
RCMP do not identify the business.
Firefighters were extinguishing two boats that had been fully engulfed by the fire, while a third boat was damaged, RCMP said.
“It’s still early in the investigation but the fire is being treated as suspicious by fire investigators who are working with police to help determine what transpired,” Kamloops RCMP spokesperson Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said in the release.
