Canuck rookie sitcom 'Satisfaction' not renewed for second season

TORONTO - There'll be no more "Satisfaction" on CTV.

The broadcaster says it's not renewing the Toronto-shot sitcom for a second season due to low ratings.

The summer comedy starred Ryan Belleville, Leah Renee and Luke Macfarlane as a group of friends who lived together.

CTV says the rookie season pulled in an average of 511,000 viewers per episode. In comparison, summer repeats of "The Big Bang Theory" did three times as many viewers while "The Amazing Race Canada" pulled 3.5 million.

Jessica Pare, Tommy Chong, Gordon Pinsent and comic Andy Kindler were among the guest stars recruited to raise the show's profile. In the end, it wasn't enough.

CTV says in a statement it remains proud of the series and looks forward to working with those involved in the future.
