TORONTO - Stars of the hockey and figure-skating worlds are set to lace up once again for a revival of "Battle of the Blades."
Producers say a new season of the CBC competition series, in which hockey players and figure skaters pair up to perform on-ice dance routines for an audience and judges, will debut in the fall.
The CBC says season 5 will see participants once again competing for a charity of their choice.
Produced by Insight Productions, the weekly series launched in 2009 and ran through 2013.
Olympian and former Canadian skating pairs champion Sandra Bezic co-created and executive produced the series.
The CBC says further details on the new season will be announced later this spring.
